4th Annual Amanda Hichkad CCA Celebration Walk Saturday, May 13thRipken Stadium The 4th Annual Amanda Hichkad CCA Celebration Walk will be held on Saturday, May 13 at Ripken Stadium. Gates open at 7:30 a.m. – Ceremonial Program and Walk will start at 8. Proceeds from the walk benefit Cancer LifeNet at the Kaufman Cancer Center. Last year, Cancer LifeNet provided free-of-charge, supportive care services including oncology social work and nurse navigation to an estimated 1,500 cancer patients and their loved ones in our community. Cancer LifeNet costs nearly $1 million each year to operate and is funded fully by philanthropic gifts made to The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation and its Chesapeake Cancer Alliance volunteers. There is anticipation of hosting 2,000 walkers on May 13 and, to date, the walk has raised nearly $50,000.
