Open Positions

INTERNSHIP (40 hours per week)

Administrative Assistant (Planning and Community Development)

Provide administrative support to the Director of Planning and Community Development.  Receive and screen phone calls and emails, offer assistance to callers and visitors, direct public and potential clients to appropriate organization or person for additional assistance or information.  Maintain appropriate files, schedule, meetings and events, prioritize, coordinate, and facilitate communications.  Prepare reports and transcribe minutes for various meetings.  Maintain promotional/recruitment material, various databases, conduct various Internet research projects, update demographic information and interactive maps on City website and otherwise perform administrative duties.  Assist with various projects as assigned.

Qualified applicants must possess the following:

Knowledge of and fluency in Microsoft Office Suite:  Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.  Requires basic accounting, research and marketing knowledge.  Must be proficient in social media.  Excellent communication and public relation skills, including written, oral, and editing.  Ability to work as a member of a team.
