As part of our MS4 program requirements with Maryland Department of the Environment, the City of Aberdeen will be conducting an assessment of watershed health and stream conditions within the City over the next several months. Environmental Scientists from KCI Technologies, Inc. (KCI) will be conducting field work to gather data concerning water quality and stream health. A team of two individuals will walk along streams and collect data regarding stream bank erosion, forest health and stormwater systems. Accessing these stream and stormwater resources often requires the field team to cross private property. Field personnel will display proper identification. The field work does not require any disturbance to the landscape, and the field team has been directed to only record information concerning stream conditions, forest health and stormwater systems. The field team will not be in a position to remedy or address any potential problems identified, but will report those problems as part of their work effort. Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated. For further information, please contact Mr. Parley Hess, PE at firstname.lastname@example.org or (410) 272-1600, ext 233.
