FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025 BUDGET
The Mayor and City Council will hold a public hearing at Aberdeen City Hall in the Council Chambers, 60 North Parke Street on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., to present and receive input on the water enterprise fund, sewer enterprise fund, stadium enterprise fund, general fund, and all capital budgets. Copies of these budgets will be available at City Hall and on the City website, www.aberdeenmd.gov. Residents are encouraged to provide written or verbal comments. ORDINANCE NO. 24-O-11
ABERDEEN TRAIN STATION MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
The Mayor and City Council will hold a public hearing at Aberdeen City Hall in the Council Chambers, 60 North Parke Street on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 7:00 p.m., to present and receive input on Ordinance No. 24-O-11, Aberdeen Train Station Memorandum of Agreement. Ordinance No. 24-O-11 would approve a certain Memorandum of Agreement between the City and the Maryland Mass Transit Administration related to certain funding for the City of Aberdeen Station Square Project; and all matters generally related to improvements to the Aberdeen MARC/Amtrak Train Station and surrounding area. FEES, RATES AND CHARGES
The Mayor and City Council will hold a public hearing at Aberdeen City Hall in the Council Chambers, 60 North Parke Street on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 7:00 p.m., to present and receive input on Ordinance No. 24-O-12, Fees, Rates and Charges. Ordinance No. 24-O-12 would revise regulations regarding fees, rates and charges in the City of Aberdeen. ORDINANCE NO. 24-O-13
UPDATING CITY BUILDING CODES
The Mayor and City Council will hold a public hearing at Aberdeen City Hall in the Council Chambers, 60 North Parke Street on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 7:00 p.m., to present and receive input on Ordinance No. 24-O-13, Updating City Building Codes. Ordinance No. 24-O-13 would adopt, as the City’s standards for building regulations, with certain modifications and amendments, the 2021 International Building Code, the 2021 International Residential Code, the 2021 International Mechanical Code, the 2021 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code, the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code, International Plumbing Code, the 2021 International Fuel Gas Code, and the 2023 NPFA 70 National Electrical Code; to establish updated standards and safeguards for the proper design, acceptable installation and adequate maintenance of building construction within the City of Aberdeen, including but not limited to granting and revocation of building permits and addressing penalties and fees for violation of these codes; repealing certain obsolete provisions; and generally relating to updating the regulation of the construction of buildings and structures in the City of Aberdeen.
