PUBLIC NOTICE

BOARD OF APPEALS HEARING

 

The Board of Appeals hearing will be held via Microsoft Teams. Anyone who wishes to participate in the meeting or submit a comment to the Board of Appeals can mail or e-mail Phyllis Grover, Director of Planning and Community Development, 60 N. Parke Street, Aberdeen, MD 21001, or to [email protected]. Please note that requests to participate in the meeting or submission of public comments must be received no later than 12:00 p.m. of the day of the hearing.

 

Please be advised that the Aberdeen Board of Appeals will hold a virtual Public Hearing on July 19, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., to review the following cases:

 

        CASE #786         Nathaniel & Roslyn Johnson, owners of 336 Law Street have applied for a variance from the City of Aberdeen Code, Section 235-21 and Section 235-23 in order to construct an addition with a garage on a single-family home located on a corner lot within the R-1 zoning district.

 

          CASE 787         CSX Transportation, Inc., and DISH Wireless have applied for a special exception in order to construct a monopole tower within the CSX railroad right-of-way on Tax Map 58, Parcel 578 located in a B-3 zoning district. (CSX Transportation, Inc. is the owner).

 

          CASE 788         St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Congregation, Inc., owners of 257 S. Law Street, Aberdeen, MD 21001 has applied for a variance from the City of Aberdeen Code, Chapter 235, Table 1, Permitted Signs by Type and Zoning District in order to erect two wall signs for the Parish Life Center located in a R-1 Zoning District.

 

          CASE 789         Middleton Holdings LLC, owner of Middleton Holdings Property, Lot 3, off Middelton Road, Aberdeen, Maryland 21001, has applied for a variance from the City of Aberdeen Code, Section 235-30E Buffer Yard Requirements, in order to reduce the buffer yard requirements between an R-2 and B-3 zoning district from fifty (50) feet to twenty-five (25) feet.
