NEW FLOOD INSURANCE STUDY (FIS) and FLOOD INSURANCE RATE MAP (FIRM) HAVE BEEN COMPLETED FOR ABERDEEN AND HARFORD COUNTY
The FIS and FIRM will become effective on April 19, 2016. As required by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the City’s Department of Planning and Community Development has prepared an amendment to the Code of the City of Aberdeen, Chapter 275 Floodplain Management which is scheduled to be introduced at the Aberdeen City Council meeting on February 22, 2016. In conjunction with the amendment to Chapter 275 Floodplain Management, the FIS and FIRM will also be adopted.
