Planning Commission

The Planning Commission conducts major reviews for the City of Aberdeen and those reviews required by the Land Use Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland as follows:

1. Comprehensive Plan – develop, approve, and recommend to the Aberdeen City Council for adoption.
2. Preliminary Site Plans and Preliminary and Final Subdivision Plats
3. Zoning districts and boundaries
4. Text amendments to the Development Code
5. Rezonings
6. Annexations
7. Text amendments to the Subdivision Regulations
8. Acquisition and development of lands for City open space or recreation purposes
9. Changes in land use or development arising from local, state, or federal programs or policies.
