Building Permit Procedure and Documents

The City of Aberdeen office hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. -5:00 p.m.
Permit or plans submission:
- Customers may come into City Hall and drop off permits or plans in the City Hall lobby Dropbox.
- Customers may submit permits or plans electronically to Allie Hall at ahall@aberdeenmd.gov.
- Customers may submit plans or permits via mail to 60 N. Parke Street, Aberdeen, MD 21001 Attn: Allie Hall.
Permit Payment:
- Customers may pay in person M-F, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
- Pay online
- Customers may drop payments off to the City overnight drop box
- Customers may mail in payment to 60 N. Parke Street, Aberdeen, MD 21001 Attn: Allie Hall; note please include the building permit address and phone number on the check or envelope.
Inspections:
All permits must be applied for through the City of Aberdeen. Once a permit has been issued, inspections for building, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical work are conducted by the Harford County Department of Inspections, Licenses, and Permits (DILP).
The Harford County ePermit Center is used to manage inspection related services and access inspection records. Through the ePermit Center, you can register or log in to an account, request inspections, renew eligible licenses (for contractors), and search public records, including permits, plans, inspections, code cases, requests, and licenses.
The City of Aberdeen Department of Public Works (DPW) conducts reviews and inspections related to sediment control measures, grading agreements, stormwater management, and other public infrastructure, including:
- Water meters
- Water and sewer connection services
- Sanitary sewer cleanouts
- Public sidewalks
- Curb and gutter

Building Permits Documents
All building permit documents are available below as downloadable and fillable PDF files. Please complete all forms applicable to your permit and submit your application along with all required supporting documentation at the same time.
Building permit applications will not be processed until all required forms and supporting documents have been received. Incomplete applications or applications missing required documentation will be placed on hold until all required information has been submitted.
