Aberdeen Main Street
Promotes downtown revitalization, supports local businesses, organizes community events, and encourages economic development in Aberdeen's historic commercial district.
Aberdeen Parks and Recreation
Plans and promotes recreational programs, special events, parks, and community activities that enhance health, wellness, and quality of life for residents of all ages.
Architectural Review Committee
Reviews proposed applications for development, redevelopment, renovations, or additions to existing buildings within the overlay districts ensure compliance with applicable design standards.
Board of Appeals
Hears appeals and requests related to zoning and land use regulations, including variances and special exceptions, in accordance with the City's zoning ordinance.
Board of Elections
Oversees municipal election procedures, certifies election results, and helps ensure fair, transparent, and efficient local elections.
Economic Development Commission
Advises the Mayor & City Council on strategies to attract new businesses, retain existing employers, encourage investment, and strengthen Aberdeen's local economy.
Ethics Commission
Administers the City's ethics regulations, provides guidance on ethical standards, reviews disclosures, and considers matters related to the City's ethics code.
Heritage Trust Committee
Preserves and promotes Aberdeen's history through educational programs, historical preservation efforts, and support for cultural and heritage initiatives.
Planning Commission
Reviews development proposals, prepares and updates long-range planning documents, and makes recommendations on land use, zoning, annexations, and community growth to the Mayor and City Council.
