ABERDEEN ADVANCED WWTP HEAT EXCHANGER REPLACEMENT

The City of Aberdeen will receive sealed proposals for the preselection of Goods and Services for
the digester heating equipment in accordance with the Contract Documents. The proposal shall describe
the basis for equipment selection, including manufacturer’s services and all costs required to meet the
design criteria.
Preselection documents are available online at HTTPS://Aberdeenmd.gov/bids. For further
information, please contact Mr. Parley Hess, Assistant City Engineer, 60 North Parke Street, Aberdeen,
MD 21001, at 410-272-1600 x 233 (phone) or 443-617-0038 (cell), or via email at
[email protected]. Questions concerning the information provided in the Request for Proposal
(RFP) will be accepted until 4:00 PM prevailing time, on January 8, 2020.
The complete proposals shall be submitted by email to Mr. Parley Hess no later than 12:00 PM
prevailing time, on January 15, 2020, and must be clearly marked "AAWWTP HEAT EXCHANGER
REPLACEMENT BID NO. 20-11". The original bid form, bid bond or security shall be delivered to the City
Office, 60 North Parke Street, Aberdeen, Maryland 21001 within one day of bid submittal, and addressed
to Mr. Parley Hess.
All proposals shall be in the form of a Lump Sum price with a clearly defined list of all items
included in the proposal as well as delivery costs. The proposal shall include any terms of payment
associated with the acceptance of the equipment order and delivery. The accepted proposal shall be
used as a Lump Sum priced item in an upcoming Construction Contract that includes the installation of
the proposed equipment.
Authority of the City of Aberdeen shall in all cases, determine the amount, quality and
acceptability of the equipment proposed.
The quoted price shall be honored for a period of 180 calendar days from the closing date of the
RFP. It shall be transferrable to the General Contractor for the installation phase of the project.
Proposals may be modified or withdrawn by an appropriate document duly executed and
delivered to the place where proposals are to be submitted at any time prior to the deadline for proposals.
The CITY OF ABERDEEN hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all, to
reject any or all proposals and to waive any omissions, errors, or irregularities in any Proposal.
