Chlorine Gas Conversion
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Chlorine Gas Disinfection Conversion to Sodium Hypochlorite will be received, by the City of Aberdeen, at Aberdeen City Hall, 60 N Parke Street, Aberdeen, MD 21001, until 1:00 p.m. local time on June 3, 2019, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read at the 2nd floor conference room. The Project consists of providing and installing a new sodium hypochlorite chemical feed system, a building extension, replacing existing building lighting with LED lights, upgrading the HVAC, and plumbing modifications within the facility.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

Paper specifications and bid forms are available for a charge of $50 at the Aberdeen City Hall, Procurement Office, 60 North Parke St., Aberdeen, Maryland, 21001, between the hours of 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 12:30 pm local time on May 7, 2019 in the training room at the Aberdeen Wastewater Treatment Plant located on 361 Michael Lane, Aberdeen, MD 21001. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory. If there are questions on the Contract Documents, please contact the Engineer by 5:00 pm local time on May 17, 2019.

No announcement of award, if any, will be made until the bids have been evaluated by the City. Notice-of-Award, if any, will be given to the successful Bidder in writing.
The City of Aberdeen reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to seek clarification of any or all bids, and to make an award, if any, that in their opinion will best suit the needs of the City of Aberdeen.
