On April 23,2026, Kris Hoellen, Executive Director of the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore gave a presentation on "The History of the B&O Railroad and Museum and 2027 200th Anniversary Celebration." With remarks by Peter Dacey, President of Friends of the Aberdeen B&O Train Station, and Historic Consultant Mary Rasa. Executive Director Kris Hoellen has led the B&O Railroad Museum since 2018, focusing on expanding educational programs, enhancing community engagement, and preparing for the 200th anniversary of American railroading in 2027. Hoellen was recognized as a “Woman of Influence in Rail” in 2025.
