Senior Center Repair

The City of Aberdeen will receive sealed bids for the repairs to the Senior Center located at 7 Franklin St. Aberdeen, MD 21001 due to wind storm damage in March 2018. The work will generally consist of, but not be limited to, all labor, equipment, and materials to replace and repair damaged roof trusses, plywood sheathing, lateral bracing, insulation, roof shingles, aluminum soffit, fascia, and gutters. Remove and replace metal stud framing and portions of the mechanical and architectural systems.

Paper specifications and bid forms are available for a charge of $25 at the City Office, Department of Public Works on the 2nd Floor, 60 North Parke St., Aberdeen, Maryland, 21001, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

All bids must be sealed and plainly marked "SENIOR CENTER REPAIR BID 18-16" and be delivered to the City Office, 60 North Parke Street, Aberdeen, Maryland 21001, no later than 1:00 pm on May 11, 2018.

A SITE VISIT will be set at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018. The Senior Center is located at 7 Franklin St. Aberdeen, MD 21001. Bidder is responsible for equipment necessary to access the roof including required safety equipment.

Bidders are expected to examine the Invitation to Bid, the Specifications and the Bid Form carefully. In case doubt shall arise as to the meaning or intent of anything in the Invitation to Bid, the Specifications or the Bid Form, inquiry should be made to the City Engineer, Taylor Whichard, in writing, at: twhichard@aberdeenmd.gov, at least two (2) business days before the bid is submitted.
